Live Wedding Painting

Building your legacy.

When was the last time someone had a painting created of themselves?

For most people, the answer is never. And historically, when portraits were commissioned, they were reserved for royalty and families whose stories were meant to endure. Paintings were not casual keepsakes, they were created to mark the beginning of a legacy.

Your wedding day is the first chapter of your family’s story. Live wedding painting honors that beginning by preserving it in the most timeless and intentional way. This is not simply artwork created at your wedding, it is a grand heirloom, designed to live in your home and be passed down through generations as a visual record of where your legacy began.

Why Choose a Live Painting?

Photographs capture what your day looked like.
A painting captures what it meant.

A live wedding painting distills your celebration into its most iconic elements, connection, atmosphere, movement, and emotion, and preserves them in a way that transcends trends. Long after memories soften and details fade, your painting remains: a permanent reminder of love, commitment, and the moment your family began.

This is not décor.
This is legacy.

Pre-wedding day

Every live wedding painting begins with an in-depth consultation call, ensuring the final artwork reflects exactly what you envision.

During this time, we:

Select your preferred pose or moment

Choose a frame from my curated gallery

Walk through the layout and flow of your wedding day

Discuss timing, lighting, and placement

Every detail is considered ahead of time, so the experience feels effortless — and the finished painting feels intentional and deeply personal.

post-wedding day

Following the wedding, your painting returns to my studio for refinement and completion.

Over 20–40 additional hours, I build depth, texture, and detail using high-grade oil paints, a medium known for its richness and longevity. This process requires multiple days of drying between layers, allowing the artwork to fully develop its character.

Once complete, a professional sealant is applied to protect the painting from discoloration, dust, and environmental factors, ensuring it remains beautiful for decades to come.

Your completed wedding painting is typically ready within 6–10 weeks, depending on the season, a timeline that reflects the care and craftsmanship of a luxury fine-art process.

The finished artwork is carefully packaged and delivered to you, ready to be displayed in your home and passed down as the first heirloom of your marriage.

wedding day

On your wedding day, I arrive and begin painting live on-site. Couples can choose how they’d like to experience the process:

Before the ceremony: I begin painting the background and setting in advance, allowing the piece to evolve throughout the day.

During the reception: The painting begins later in the evening, often as a surprise element for guests.

As the celebration unfolds, layers are added in real time. Guests are able to witness the artwork coming to life. Couples may choose to include an optional reveal moment during the reception, adding an unforgettable point of excitement to the evening.

Is this for you?

Live wedding painting may be the perfect fit, only if you’re looking for:

A single, iconic heirloom that represents your wedding day, rather than multiple smaller keepsakes

Something truly rare, a commissioned painting of yourselves, created to mark the beginning of your family’s legacy

Art with long-term meaning, designed to live in your home and be passed down for generations

An experience that unfolds slowly and intentionally, rather than instant gratification

A timeless, fine-art approach that transcends wedding trends

A meaningful focal point that captures emotion, atmosphere, and connection in one piece
